Entrance to The Old Mill

Currently under renovation the Wollen Mills were built in 1802 by Christopher Drumvolle. The Mill was powered by water taken from the Liffey at Golden Falls. At it's peak it employed over 700 people, mostly locals, to the left of the the entrance gates is Weavers Row, 24 well preserved cottages were built to house some of the workers at the mill. This walk through the trees is so peaceful & continues to another gate at Oliver Plunkett Road
